I’m the only one that gets this.  I can’t be the only one that see the irony in this picture. I don’t actually have a picture of this because it would have been rude to stand up and snap a picture.
Here’s the scene.  My daughter’s karate class. There’s a new sensei. Let’s just say he is VERY short.  While the kids and the sensei is warming up (doing jumping jacks, stretches, running laps) the sensei plays music.  Mostly good music and mostly dance music.  I don’t mind it. It’s mostly from my partying days but that’s a whole other story.   So…the kids start running and the music starts. The player plays the last of one song and starts on another.  Bet you can’t guess what that other song is……Someone has actually made a dance remix of the Oompa-Loompa song.
Of course I start giggling, thinking that someone is going to go over there and turn the song off. But NO! they let it play. So now I am laughing and looking around to catch the eye of another parent who is getting this joke.  NO ONE is laughing.  I  wanted to stand up and say, “You have got to be kidding me! Do you not get the irony? Your children are being taught karate by an Oompa-Loompa!!”
I did what any “off their rocker” person would do…I posted it to FB. Ha! Oh yeah, and sent a text to SCG!
