Because I’m having my first non-functioning organ taken out.  Yes, I am old.  My Drs and I finally figured out what is going on with me.  After 6 different test, we discovered that my gallbladder has given up the ghost.  Both my surgeon and my GI Dr said that my gallbladder doesn’t work at all. Not even in the least bit. Not even a leak.  So for now, as long as I stay away from fatty foods, I don’t feel like I’m having a heart attack.  But I’m getting sick of salads, and I think I’m going to turn into a rabbit soon or at least start sprouting ears.
I’m staying away from fat as best as I can but it seems like in the past 2 weeks I have been just all around feeling like crap.  Just not feeling right, no energy and I’m tired of feeling this way. This has been going on since February.  I will be glad when it’s over. I just hope when the surgery is all said and done,  I do feel better.

It really sucks getting old.

But on the bright side, I have been working on a few knitting projects. Well more than a few. I started doing a mini sock swap and got into a mini sock yarn club.  I’ve done 3 episodes of the mini sock yarn club and have signed up for the fall season.  Those socks are fun and fast! In the kits, you get enough yarn for a mini sock, a pattern, a stitch marker, a mini sock blocker, and a treat.  The packaging is always so cute and the designs are wonderful and challenging.  If you are interested, the group is here on Ravelry and the club sign up is here on Etsy.
Here are my socks so far:

I haven’t made the August one yet. The design is a beautiful sunflower. I have been too busy with dr appointments and other knitting I am trying to finish. I have been knitting a long piece of cabled fabric that I will twist around my body, add sleeves and call it a sweater/wrap.  It’s really cool looking. I can’t wait to finish but it feels like it’s taking forever. I really hate knitting scarves and basically that’s what this is.  It’s so boring to me going back and forth with no end in sight.

So when it’s done I will be finally ready for some other knitting…socks and a hat for me! Yeah!
